🌱 How the Program Works

Our Veggie Box is a bi-weekly box of freshly harvested produce grown at the Food Bank Farm. Each box features a rotating mix of what is in season, which means every pickup is a little different and reflects the best of what the farm is growing.

From leafy greens and herbs to tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, peppers, melons, and more, your box will be filled with fresh-picked items straight from the Farm picked for peak freshness!

Program Details:

Bi-Weekly Pickup: Veggie Boxes are available every other week during the program season. When you sign up, you will select a pickup group that fits your schedule.
Choose Your Pickup Group: We offer two bi-weekly pickup schedules to fit your availability:
Easy Pickup: Members pick up their Veggie Box every other Saturday from 8am-11am at the Food Bank Farmstand, 6401 Main Ave, Orangevale, CA 95662
Seasonal Variety: Each box changes throughout the season based on what is fresh and ready to harvest.
Join for the Season: Customers sign up in advance to reserve their spot for the season. Because we grow with the seasons, no two boxes are exactly alike — and that is part of the fun.

We offer two bi-weekly pickup schedules to fit your availability:

Pickup Group 1:

Runs: May 30 – September 19
Pickup: Every other week (Saturdays)

Pickup Group 2:

Runs: June 6 – September 26
Pickup: Every other week (Saturdays)

Not sure which group to choose? Simply select the schedule that best fits your availability — both groups receive the same fresh produce throughout the season!

Pickup Day & Time:
Saturdays, 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM (based on your selected pickup group, bi-weekly)

Missed Pickup Policy:
If you miss your pickup, our team will reach out to coordinate a Monday pickup (8:00 AM – 11:00 AM), or you may choose to donate your Veggie Box to a family in need that week.

Flexibility:
Need to skip a week? You can pause or manage your schedule through your Veggie Box account.

Sending Someone in Your Place:
You are welcome to have a friend or family member pick up your box — just add a note to your account or let our team know.

Is the produce organic? We use regenerative farming practices across the farm, and grow our produce responsibly using organic methods on the veggies themselves.

Will I know what is in my box ahead of time? YES! Each week you’ll receive an email with your pickup reminder and a list of what will be in your veggie box along with a unique recipe card!

Is this a donation or a purchase? This is a purchase of fresh produce that also directly supports the mission and sustainability of the Food Bank Farm.

Can I skip or pause a week? Yes! You can manage your schedule through your Veggie Box account here: https://box.foodbank.farm/

What happens if I miss a pickup? Our team will text you to coordinate a Monday pickup (8 AM–11 AM), or ask if you'd like to donate your box to a family in need.

Can someone else pick up my box? Absolutely — just add a note in your account or let our team know at info@foodbank.farm
