Kids Love Farm Camp!

Every summer, kids enjoy spending a few days on the farm at one of our 3-day Farm Camps. They get to tour the food bank while learning about how the farm provides for our neighbors in need. Each morning is full of hands-on activities learning about everything from planting to weeding to pollination and more!

🌱 What is Farm Camp?

Farm Camp is a fun, hands-on summer experience where kids connect with nature, gardening, and community!

  • During this 3-day camp, children explore the Food Bank Farm while learning how food grows and how the farm helps provide fresh produce for families in our community.

  • Campers get their hands dirty with real farm activities like planting seeds, harvesting fresh vegetables, and learning about pollinators and beneficial insects that help gardens thrive.

  • Kids will also enjoy crafts, games, water activities, scavenger hunts, and plenty of outdoor farm fun while making new friends.

One of the most unique parts of Farm Camp is a tour of the Orangevale-Fair Oaks Food Bank, where campers discover how the Food Bank and Farm work together as an ecosystem to grow and share fresh food with neighbors in need.

  • Campers will be supervised by trained staff and volunteers throughout all activities.

It’s the perfect mix of outdoor adventure, learning, and community connection!
