A Note From Our Leadership
At the Orangevale-Fair Oaks Community Foundation, we believe that a thriving community starts with neighbors caring for one another—and fresh, nourishing food is at the heart of that care.
The Food Bank Farm was born out of a dream: that a dormant piece of land could be transformed into something beautiful, healing, and life-giving. Since its creation, that dream has grown into 15,000 pounds of organic produce harvested each year, over 60,000 individuals nourished annually through the Food Bank, and hundreds of volunteers coming together every month to keep our veggies flourishing. It has become more than a farm—it’s become a beacon of hope!
But now, this place that feeds so many—body and soul—needs us. The opportunity to purchase the land that our farm sits on is more than a real estate transaction. It’s our chance to keep our roots planted deep right here in the community. To secure this space not just for today’s families, but for the generations still to come.
This Capital Campaign, Roots for Generations, is our shared invitation—to you, our friends, partners, and neighbors—to help us ensure that this beloved land continues to grow food, grow relationships, and grow impact for decades to come.
We are ready. We have a plan. And we need your help to make it a reality!
With heartfelt gratitude,
